Green Forms by Alan Bennett is an affectionate comedy set in an office in Harrogate in the late 60s / early 70s. Well worth seeing !
The Nidderdale Drama Festival is a competion of one-act plays and the regional first round of the All England Theatre Festival.
The First round was held at the Frazer Theatre, Knaresborough in March, with 2 plays on Thursday evening, 3 on Friday evening and 3 on Saturday evening. The HDS production was the overall winner, with Sue Rawson winning Best Senior Actress and Stuart Kellett taking the honours as Best Director (senior play).
The Second round (North Central Division Final) was held on 28th April at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall, where HDS locked horns with Richmond Drama Group who performed Words, Words, Words. Green Forms was once again the winning play, with Sue Rawson receiving the award for best actor - a clean sweep for HDS !
Many congratulations to Stuart, the cast and backstage crew - who now have to do it all again for the Third Round at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York, on 12th May !
