The Glass Menagerie - by Tennessee Williams
February 1957 - The Little Theatre, Old Swan Hotel

Harrogate Players do well

For the third play in ther Little Theatre season in the Old Swan Hotel, the Harrogate Dramatic Society are this week presenting Tennessee William's "The Glass Menagerie"
A well-chosen cast of four superbly re-create the extraordinary atmoshpere of the home in the deep south where a cripple daughter, inhibited to a degree, is required by an appalling mother to receive "gentlemen callers". Her story, fraught with tragedy, amounts to a modern Southerner's comments on the stupidities of the past.
