Drama group in festival limelight

It was almost a clean sweep for Harrogate Dramatic Society in the Craven Drama Festival. They won everything but the runners-up prize.
Their Wednesday night presentation of "Waters Of The Moon", a comedy by N. C. Hunter, won them the Irving trophy for theplay awarded highest marks by the adjudicator, John fox.
Joan Mallet won the producer's trophy, and medalions for the best actors went to Jacquie Scarborough and Don Valentine.
The Green Room Players, Blackpool, in second place, were awarded the "Amateur Theatre Trophy" for the closing night's production of "Barefoot In The Park". Mrs. Stephen E. Brown, wife of the festival president, presented the awards in Skipton Town Hall on Saturday night.
