The Performance Ensemble is a touring theatre company made up of older performers aged 60 or above. Performers, musicians and dancers, they are ordinary people making extraordinary contemporary theatre, inspiring community experiences.

And the winner is…..

Huge congratulations to ‘Team HDS’ for winning three trophies at the first round (Hull and East Riding section) of the All England Theatre Festival held in The Spa, Bridlington on 17th and 18th March and for winning the Adjudicators special award at the semi-finals in Saltburn.
The two plays presented were Words, Words, Words and The Philadelphia both by David Ives. Theatre Of The Absurd plays – the first about three monkeys potentially typing Hamlet and the second about The Philadelphia state of mind.
The plays were directed by Chris Rawson and Jennifer Fell Hayes and Sue Rawson was the technical support.
Our wonderful actors were David and Jemma Bunting and James Reilly. David and Jemma won Best Actor and Best Actress awards and HDS won First prize to go through to the next round held in Saltburn on 3rd and 4th May. Telephone 01287 624997 for tickets or use the contact page on their website

Costume
We are looking for people to help us with our Costume. We have an extensive costume department located on site at Regents Parade, and would like volunteers to assist with any or all of the following:-
- Curating and sorting costume
- Costuming new plays from existing stock
- Costuming new plays from outside agencies
- Making new costume
- Altering existing costume
