This was a wonderful Gala evening celebrating 125 years of the Harrogate Theatre. Six community groups took part – RAOS, Woodlands Drama Group, HOPS Musical Theatre Company, Harrogate Phoenix Players, St Andrews Plays AND the Harrogate Dramatic Society.
Glorious was selected to showcase our excellence, and it did not disappoint. The story was truncated into the required 20 minutes, but nothing was lost in the telling by doing this. Glorious! is a heartwarming and hilarious tribute to the worst singer in the world (Florence Foster Jenkins) and the undying power of belief and passion.
