Goodnight Mr Tom is a heartwarming and poignant tale set during World War II. It follows the story of young William Beech, an evacuee from London, who is sent to live in the countryside with a reclusive widower called Tom Oakley.

The novel by Michelle Magorian beautifully explores the themes of friendship, healing and the meaning of family and is lovingly adapted for the stage by David Wood.
